On Friday 4 October, 10.00-18.00: AfricaHackTrip-Barcamp/Unconference.AfricaHackTrip is a group of developers and designers from Europe visiting East Africa in September/October 2013. We have been coworking with people from all over the world, but not yet with creatives from the growing African tech scene. We want to meet, connect and share with our peers in East Africa.

The NTV Ideas Lab took place last weekend at Outbox, bringing together close to 60 individuals interested in participating in the initiative. The event had NTV Uganda, Outbox, African media initiative and UGO Uganda well represented.Aggie Konde, the Managing Director at NTV Uganda was available to give the opening keynote, which briefly highlighted why NTV Uganda decided to be part of this initiative. NTV Uganda is looking at this initiative enabling it achieve it's vision to be "The most viewed and most trusted television channel for Uganda".

On the September 20th at the .NET user group meeting we will see how we can use Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to manage projects and teams to produce quality software on time. We all know that in software development teams, developers do not want to focus on the noise of tasks, bugs, methodologies but code. The project managers want information on when the project will be completed, when will tasks be completed, bugs fixed, who is available and how is the product progressing to delivery.

Last Friday, Uganda Comunications Commision recognised ICT Innovation in Uganda throught the ACIA Awards. Many applications were submitted to the comptition and six (6) of those that submitted their innovations were awarded handsomely.
