OUTBOX INNOVATION CHAMPION

Outbox is looking for change agents passionate about Sexual Reproductive Health, Gender-Based Violence, and Improved livelihoods for young people to become Innovation Champions for the  UpAccelerate Women, Adolescents and Youth Rights and Empowerment (WAY) programme based in our districts of operation i.e. Adjumani, Agago, Amuru, Arua, Kitgum, Lamwo, Moyo, Yumbe, Madi-Okollo and Obongi.

We're inviting you to apply for this volunteer position as well as seek your help identifying and recommending young people within your communities to apply for this volunteer position. He or She should be based in the above mentioned districts.

The Innovation Champion will primarily be involved to work on these areas:

1. Create Awareness: With support from the Innovation Catalyst, create awareness to the target audience about the UpAccelerate WAY Edition call for applications (This could be in person or during partner meetings whilst observing the Ministry of Health standard operating procedures;

2. Support Applicants: Engage in in-depth with applicants by reviewing their applications and giving them feedback before they make the final submission; and

3. Participate in reflection sessions facilitated for participants.

4. Build a community: Take lead in building out a local community of innovators and entrepreneurs, where aspiring and practising local change agents can receive free tools to build new skills, grow their business ideas and boost their careers. These communities are what we call Outbox Fundi Circles.   

The following is the eligibility criteria:

• You are a resident of the district within which you would like to be an Innovation Champion

• You can speak and write English well

• You are at University or have a University Degree

• You are comfortable with using a computer and can browse the internet

• You can commit at-least 15 hours per week to supporting your local community circle and the Up Accelerate WAY initiative
