Outbox is a learning and practising community for technology. We bring together entrepreneurs, investors, students, mentors, researchers and organisations to develop the relationships, skills and networks necessary to foster talent and opportunities in the technology sector.
We offer an exciting combination of workspace, business incubation and technical training programs.
Through our Outbox EDU initiative, we teach industry relevant skills in web and mobile development, data science to students through intensive bootcamps, while making them ready for the workplace and supporting linkages to dignified job opportunities. Through this initiative, we are collaborating with other organisations like Moringa School based in Kenya.

We are seeking an associate instructor for our web development courses. We have adopted a blended learning, market and outcomes driven model to its curriculum, together with its partners. Our students are taught to be lifelong learners and become the best developers they can be.
What you will do:
+ Support students during class work and projects, pairing when necessary
+ Develop and manage internal tools to support the Outbox EDU curriculum
+ Assist in students assessments and the placement process
+ Provide feedback to other instructors
+ Coordinate program logistics that could include guest speakers etc
+ Be a supportive and engaged member of Outbox operations, particularly on meetups and evangelism
+ Other duties as assigned
About you
+ At-least 1 years experience in advanced web javascript development;
+ Fluency in the following topics: React, MongoDB, Express, Node.js, SQL, HTML, CSS, Git, deployment
+ Experience working with agile teams - pair programming experience a plus
+ Previous background in teaching / mentoring aspiring developers, or a deep interest in giving it a try
+ Stellar communication skills
