Job Description

We take a deliberate approach to how we support Small and Growing businesses, by differentiating our programs based on their unique needs, walking the lonely entrepreneurship journey with them, and capturing our learnings for the benefit of the next entrepreneur, we might meet.

We have the best learning communities in the startup ecosystem in Uganda and utilize that competency to distribute our expertise beyond our walls. We strongly believe in the potential of technology to provide an unfair advantage to any business when used for good, and as such focus on supporting digital entrepreneurs first. Over the last seven (7) years, we have brought together the best people, companies, Government and knowledge (best practice) for our entrepreneurs to succeed – which is why we believe we are best placed to guide our ecosystem forward.


As a member success associate, you ensure the success of our members – the entrepreneurs, by designing, delivering, documenting and tracking entrepreneurship programs for our members. You also liaise with our partners so as to match their offerings with the most suited partners in our portfolio. You are expected to travel at-least 40% of the time to attend to our programming in Northern Uganda and West Nile. 

Core Responsibilities

•    Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for our members to engage within the ecosystem, our partners and across our organisation;
•    Support the design and coordination of all our entrepreneurship programs;
•    Actively manage member profiles to ensure opportunities for content recommendations, introductions and hiring needs;
•    Lead on implementation of our entrepreneurship programming by supporting the activities in the innovation pipeline;
•    Lead the impact measurement of different projects and startups through physical follow-ups, surveys, and monitoring visits;
•    Maintain and grow a local network of mentors, advisors, thought leaders and functional experts to provide support to our members;
•    Own the identification and creation of member success stories to be shared with our organisation and its partners;
•    Support with bi-annual and annual impact measurement of our programs, and members in our ecosystem;

•    Work with our learning associate, operations associate and the organizational lead to ensure that member needs are met in the development and delivery of a learning experience
•    Actively track the progress of members in our programs through regular check-ins;
•    Provide strategic and logistics support to our member communities that include Google Developer Groups, Facebook Developer Circles, Django Girls to mention but a few

Job qualifications

Minimum qualifications
•    A Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology, Business Computing, Business administration or a related field;
•    At least 3 years of work experience in a related role (including program or project coordination);
•    Previous experience in building entrepreneurship programmes or learning experiences;
•    Experience with using digital tools for documentation, preferably online tools that include G-suite

Preferred qualifications
•    Experience providing strategic and operational support in a small to mid-sized organisation;
•    Experience delivering entrepreneurship training that ranges from Human Centred Design to Lean startup approaches;
•    Experience building and managing relationships with business professionals;
•    Experience in developing documentation to guide best practice;
•    Project management experience and training;
