Global Hackathon Seoul is a unique opportunity to drive social and technological change, on a monumental scale, by instilling the hacker mindset in South Korea. This is the Hackathon Olympics.
Join a global community of top developers, designers, and entrepreneurs to be exposed to cutting-edge tech trends and the vibrant culture of Seoul. We're calling on all creators and leaders to unite on this world stage, to champion change and inspire a nation.
Global Hackathon Seoul will be the first global hackathon to bring together 2000 top developers from around the globe and has launched its global application in search of talented developers. The event is coordinated by organizers working worldwide (including Nigeria) and serves as a global gathering place for ambitious software developers to discuss creative new ideas, create unique innovations, and drive social and technological change. The event takes place in Seoul from July 29 to August 1, 2015 and international travel costs will be covered by GHS for all accepted applicants.
African ambassador for GHS, Opata Chibueze, was at the Hack for Big Choices hackathon in Accra, Ghana where he encouraged developers to signup for the event. The winners of the “Hack for Big Choices” hackathon in Accra – Iyke Owoh and Laud Bentil – received a sponsored trip to South Korea to develop their pharmaceutical search engine app, PHARMASee.
GHS is eager and available to meet and interact with tech communities and is very keen to meet with hackathon directors, startup/tech-hub managers and group leaders in Africa, India and New Zealand. Any persons from these regions should kindly reach us through our ambassadors or apply here.
Applications have already been received from over one hundred different nationalities and will close in early May.
