12 startups selected to participate in the third Village Capital FinTech for Agriculture: East Africa accelerator programme, launched. Two ventures to secure US$50,000 in funding.
NAIROBI Village Capital launched its FinTech for Agriculture: East Africa 2015 accelerator programme at a launch event in Nairobi, revealing the cohort of 12 startups selected to participate in the programme.
Nairobi, Kenya,March 31, 2015: PIVOT East, one of the most prestigious mobile startup competitions and conferences is now open for entries through it’s PIVOT East Startups Community Network. The competition officially opens its application portal for entries on March 30th 2015 and will continue to accept applications until midnight EAT on April 31st 2015.
Outbox takes the Intel Ideation Camp to West Uganda - 27th and 28th March, 2015
It was an exciting way to start the weekend, with guidance through Innovation and Entrepreneurship with trainers from Outbox taking students (youths) at ICS Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), through a step by step process of coming up with technology ideas and turning them into business.
Over the weekend of Saturday 7th March, 2015, the ladies in our Women Passion program (WOPA) spent a whole day visiting low-income and unbanked farmers in the central region of Uganda. The objective was to carry out interviews and develop an understanding of the challenges they face.
On Feb 21st 2015, a team of youthful innovators came together during the open data day event at outbox to devise means on how to improve usage of available data resource on the various platforms and responsible offices.
