What is Andela?

Andela is a full-time employment opportunity that will enable you to own your learning as you hone the skills you need to become a global technology leader. Through four years of intensive simulated and real product development on top engineering teams, you will master both professional and technical skills.

Who can apply?

We seek out exceptional people from a variety of backgrounds who are committed to unlocking their full potential and improving the world through technology. A computer science or IT degree is not required to apply. Applicants must be 18 years or older at time of application.

What happens after application? (Interviews and Onsite in Uganda)

Shortlisted applicants will participate in a one-week, full-time in-person onsite in Uganda led by senior Andela developers. They’ll be expected to learn independently as well as work on a team to deliver a final project. We’re looking for alignment with Andela values, desire to learn and improve, and a passion to change the world with technology.

What happens if I’m accepted?

After joining Andela, developers will be required to complete six months of on boarding, with extensive travel and off-site skills training after which they will start working as a full-time globally distributed team members with one of our partner companies  -- which include Microsoft, Google and IBM, as well as leading startups around the world.
