BlackBox Connect Pitch Event - Winners

On 24th November 2014, 12 invited startups had a pitching session where they were heard by a panel of 3 external Judges in order to be selected by Outbox for nomination for a 2 week all expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley.

Out of the 12, four were nominated to participate. These startups include Fezah, Remit.ug, Ensibuuko and Kola Studios We are excited to have 3 of these startup including Fezah, Ensibuko and Kola Studios being resident startups at Outbox.

Blackbox Connect powered by Google for Entrepreneurs is a 2-week intensive program to be attended by 1 or 2 founders of selected companies.

This is a unique opportunity for non-us startups to access resources and scale globally.

Founders will come to Silicon Valley for the two weeks, where they will have the opportunity to live and collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs from all around the world and take part in an intense agenda of meetings and workshops with entrepreneurs, investors, experts and executives.

To qualify, the selected startups ought to have met the following reqiurments:

• Based outside the U.S
• Have already launched a product or nearing completion of beta testing product with prospective customers
• Attending founders (up to 2 founders) must be proficient in English

To be considered the startups should to have launched a technology based MVP and gathered feedback from early adopter/customers. Ideally but not required, a startup should have raised some investment capital, have a team between 3 to 20 people and have a product or service that can be launched globally.
